Privacy Policy
This policy describes how jumpEFB handles information in connection with the jumpEFB app and this website. The short version: jumpEFB is built to keep your flying data on your device, and we collect as little as we can.
1. Data stored on your device
Your logbook, aircraft and weight-and-balance profiles, manifests, settings, and cached weather are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data unless you use a sync or connectivity feature that sends it to us.
2. Location
The App uses your device's location to provide navigation features such as jump-run guidance, crosstrack, and the glide ring. Location is processed on the device. When the App fetches weather or winds aloft, the request identifies the area you ask about (for example, your dropzone) to the data provider.
3. Account and connectivity features
The free tier does not require an account. If you use Pro features that connect to a dropzone running jumpDZM, we process the information needed to provide that connection — such as your email address, name, and the operational data shared between the App and the dropzone (for example, manifests and load assignments). That data is shared with the dropzone you connect to.
4. What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
5. Diagnostics
If you choose to send us a support request or crash report, we receive the information you include, and standard technical details (app version, device model, OS version) that help us diagnose the problem.
6. Third-party services
Weather and winds-aloft data are provided by third-party sources. Requests to those services are subject to their terms. The website is served via Cloudflare, which processes standard web-request logs (such as IP address) to deliver and secure the site.
7. Retention and deletion
On-device data stays until you delete it or remove the App. If you have an account, you can request deletion of your account data by contacting us at the address below, and we will delete it except where we are required to retain it by law.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
9. Children
The App is intended for pilots and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
